Hardware clearance sale!

Finally getting around to clearing out these old AMD video cards. I'm giving guildies and WoW pals a first stab before I end up posting them on eBay. These cards are about a year and a half old and were the top of the line single card setup before the 7900's came along. They are factory super clocke...

NES Hardware

Here's a link to an article that came out a little bit ago around the 30 year anniversary for the NES. We were talking about emulators for the system and some of the crazy hardware details came up, this article in the later pages has some details about the pretty basic hardware that made up the NES....

Re: Free at last! Thank Jeebus Almighty, we are free at last

Going to pickup some new games in the next few weeks and see how they all run at 2560x1600 with the new setup. I've also got some random benchmark stuff vs the old setup that I'll post in the next few days. A few people had asked me about the old setup and exactly what issues I was having with it. A...

Re: Free at last! Thank Jeebus Almighty, we are free at last

Well I was running 4x4GB memory but with Haswell based on early info people are saying you have more room to OC if you are using only 1 chan or two sticks so I did 2x8GB this time. If I really wanted to later I guess could go to 32GB, but that seems a bit much for a gaming PC, I only really scratch ...

Free at last! Thank Jeebus Almighty, we are free at last!

The tyranny of AMD/ATI crossfire has ended, I've finally rebuilt my system. Newegg tried to screw me with some new free shipping that involved FedEx getting it to my local hub and then handing it off to the Postal Service to perform the final home delivery which would eat an extra whole day, but I g...

Re: Xbox One vs PS4

So after some more details have been released related to the Xbox's 24hr phone home needs it seems clear to me that I'd never want a One. First thing that comes to mind is the insane stuff that publishers for their online titles are already performing where once a game is 2-3 years old they stop run...

Xbox One vs PS4

So with a day to review the hardware details, it seems that Sony will have a slight lead in graphics power. The rest of the systems hardware is very similar, though some of it's still a little guess work as Sony has yet to detail 100% of it. I think the biggest news is how similar the systems will e...

They publish a lot of remake games and most of them are crap, but I have high hopes for this one. http://www.polygon.com/2013/3/22/4135724/ducktales-remastered-capcom-wayforward-pax-east-2013 Maybe it's just the huge number of hours I spent with the NES original, but I'm in for $15 on this one. -Ful...

http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/ A TCG based on Warcraft, Heroes of Warcraft (HoW?), that will be for PC, Mac and iPad. I'm not that big into the TCG style games, but I'm interested to see what a very small team inside of Blizzard has done in a short time. I think I'm more interested in that an...
